Each artwork comes with a certificate of authentication signed by me, the artist, with a handwritten note, including information about the inspiration behind the piece (information only shared between the artist and the buyer). For oil and acrylic paintings, the canvas is sprayed with a fixative and sealant to preserve the artwork and ensure its longevity.

The painting captures a tranquil summer afternoon in Port Rowan, a small town where simplicity and serenity intertwine. At the heart of the scene is an old truck, its faded paint and rusty edges telling stories of countless journeys and hardworking days. The truck is parked in front of a historic church, its weathered stone facade and modest steeple standing as a testament to the passage of time. The sky is a clear, adding to the sense of calm. I visit Port Rowan a few times each summer, and here I attempt to encapsulate the essence of rural life, where every element, from the old truck to the venerable church, plays a part in the harmonious depiction of a peaceful summer.

The iconic streetcar, a symbol of New Orleans’ enduring character, rolls down the road as it has for over a century, connecting neighborhoods and telling the story of a city thriving on movement and rhythm. Its yellow and red colors reflect the resilience and energy that have defined New Orleans since the streetcars first began operating in the early 1900s. Lining the street are colorful buildings, their architecture a nod to the city’s rich heritage. Influences from the Spanish and French colonial eras are evident in the intricate facades and wrought-iron fire escapes. The bold reds, yellows, and oranges of these structures reflect the blend of cultures shaping New Orleans, from the Creole and Black communities to European immigrants. These buildings have witnessed the city’s triumphs and trials, from the jazz era’s golden days to the rebirth following Hurricane Katrina. As the streetcar glides forward, so too does the city’s narrative—each layer of paint symbolizing New Orleans’ deep cultural roots. Vehicles hold a monumental space in our lives—carrying us to special events, creating memories with loved ones, navigating job interviews, and opening up avenues for new adventures. My journey with cars began in my childhood, surrounded by a father who could fix anything, a car-loving younger brother, and a husband passionate about all things automotive. These influences, combined with my career in the construction industry, have deepened my fascination with sports cars, machinery, and vehicle aesthetics.
In my exhibition, “A Dream Garage,” I seek to capture not just the sleek lines and mechanical intricacies of these vehicles but also their rich histories and the fandoms they inspire. Each piece in this collection is a tribute to the enduring relationship between people and the machines that drive them—both literally and metaphorically.

In the vibrant setting of a bustling car meet, a striking Pontiac Fiero immediately caught my eye. Beside the Fiero stands my little brother. This painting captures not just the beauty of the Pontiac Fiero but also the joy of shared passions and the connections they foster.
The Pontiac Fiero, produced from 1984 to 1988, is notable as America’s first and only mass-produced mid-engine sports car. It features innovative design elements, such as a space-frame chassis covered with plastic body panels, making it lightweight and resistant to corrosion. Initially marketed as an economical commuter car, the Fiero quickly gained a loyal fanbase for its sporty handling and unique aesthetic.

I am inspired by my local surroundings in Elmira, Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge, trips to other parts of Canada including Port Rowan, Halifax, and Vancouver (where I lived for three years), and my international adventures to places like Italy (where my partner is from), Greece, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago (where my parents are from), California New York, Arizona, Louisiana, and more.

After having a serene cup of coffee at a quant and quiet cafe in Los Angeles, within the hustle and bustle of the city, I was inspired to create the piece. The noisy streets seemed to echo through the door, each time a new customer entered; yet, when the door was shut, the cafe offered a solace from the the madness. Inside, the columns blocked out the sirens and screeching tires. The conversations remained bound to the walls and windows of the building. Here, I confessed many secrets and dreams with a lover in un café au café.

The piece, now over 10 years old, continues to bear the essence of the busy streets in New York, which is captured in the differently weighted lines in the piece. The main figure in the image, actually a depiction of my younger brother, is standing on the street with his headphones in, backwards hat, shorts, ‘sneaks’, and street style, taking in the lively street around him. I drew this piece from a few pictures I took of my younger brother just breathing in the city, on a family trip. Unframed, the piece sits well flatly on a white wall, to enhance the white markings on the black coloured paper.

I completed this challenging hike twice while living in Vancouver, and here I illustrate the colorful mountains and diverse flora in rich, dynamic hues. The hike, known as the second hardest in the area, takes about 10 to 12 hours to traverse the 30 kilometers, offering breathtaking views that unfold with each step. At the summit, the painting reveals a tranquil scene where I felt deeply connected to nature. The vivid colors and detailed portrayal of the pristine lakes and rugged peaks invite viewers to experience the awe-inspiring beauty that the artist cherished. The piece is a testament to one of my most beautiful experiences with nature on the top of this grueling hike, celebrating the allure of British Columbia’s untouched landscapes.

This artwork is a vivid and compelling representation of my completed PhD study titled “Canadians Redefining R&B: The Online Marketing of Drake, Justin Bieber, and Jessie Reyez.” Central to the piece is the Canadian flag, with its iconic red and white colours in reverse, and within the flag are the faces of Drake, Justin Bieber, and Jessie Reyez to reflect their contributions to redefining Canadian-ness and R&B-ness. The piece not only celebrates the individual achievements of these artists but also encapsulates the essence of their collective impact on Canadian culture. The piece was actually positioned in the background of the artist’s live Ph.D. thesis presentation to the public in achieving her Doctorate. Hence, the piece encapsulates her passion for Canadian R&B history and development, while also being a relic of an important historical moment for the artist herself.

The cat continues to be their family’s childhood pet and is a beloved fur baby of her younger brother. Their bond seem inseparable even in their slumber. Kobe’s paw rests gently on the boy’s hand, a silent reassurance of their unbreakable connection. Every stroke of the brush conveys the warmth and comfort of their relationship, from the tender way the boy cradles Kobe to the subtle curve of their intertwined bodies. The piece invites viewers to bask in the simple joys of friendship and the profound comfort found in the presence of a cherished fur baby.
